Inspiration sucht der Künstler im Konkreten: seit Jahren durchstreift er zu Fuß Städte in Deutschland und richtet seinen Blick auf die Dinge am Rande – Risse im Mauerwerk, erprobt die sinnliche Kraft von bröckelndem Putz und zerbrochenen Scheiben. Er beobachtet, wie die Zeit Besitz ergreift von Häusern und Straßen. Werden und Vergehen ist Thema seiner Kunst. Seine Bilder nennt er „Zeitzeugen“.
