"Reverse Glass Paintings" – eine ganz eigene Technik der Hinterglasmalerei. Acryl, Blattgold, Aluminium sind die Materialien, die eingesetzt werden.
Michael Burges ( geboren 1954 in Düsseldorf) bevorzugt abstrakte Farbkompositionen, arbeitet unter anderem mit Blattsilber und 23,75 Karat Blattgold. Seine Hinterglasbilder besitzen eine außergewöhnliche farbliche Präsenz und ästhetische Präzision.
Dank einer selbst entwickelten Technik mit Aluminiumrahmung scheinen die Werke vor der Wand zu schweben. Sie agieren und interagieren mit Licht und Reflektion, mit zufälligen Farbmustern und -strukturen.

extraordinary colour presence and aesthetic precision.
Thanks to a self-developed technique with aluminium frame
the works seem to float in front of the wall. They act and
interact with light and reflection, with random color patterns
and structures.
